Small deep Greek sea blue-green glass bowl.
1 in stock
This is a deep sea blue and green glass bowl which I made by fusing 2 pieces of glass together in my kiln, then I slumped it into a deep mould in a second firing. Due to the weight of the 6 mm thick glass, it didn’t slump in a perfect circle, making the rim irregular and quirky. I like this aspect since it gives it more character, and distinguishes it from a factory-made bowl. The intense colours remind me of the wonderful sea in Greece, hence the name. When light shines through it the glass comes alive, so it looks best in a bright space.
The bowl weighs 854 gm.
It is 18.5 cm across the rim.
The height is 8 cm at the tallest point.
The glass is 6 mm thick.
