This pretty turquoise and streaky white glass bowl is the result of two firings in my kiln. I fused the specialist coloured glass to a clear piece, then slumped the resulting disk in a mould to create a deep bowl. It slumped unevenly due to the weight of the glass, so one side of the bowl is 8.5 cm in height, and the opposite side is 7 cm. This gives it a characterful ‘wonky’ appearance which adds to its attraction as an art object rather than a factory made bowl. It changes colour depending on how the light strikes it, which I tried to depict in the photos.

The bowl weighs 871 gms.
It is 19.5 cm in diameter, 7 – 8.5 cm in height, and 6 mm thick.
