Striking set of four coasters in a windmill shape which I made by fusing numerous pieces of glass together in my kiln. I cut each coloured piece in a ‘blade’ shape, making sure they met perfectly in the middle. Then I had to cut the clear backing glass to fit the unusual shape. When the glass melts, it naturally rounds on the edges and points, making them a pleasing shape. These coasters have a practical use as well as being decorative, as hot and cold drinks may safely be placed on them. The bumper stops on the bottoms prevent them from sliding.

The 4 coasters weigh 573 gm.
Each coaster is approximately 10 cm square.
