Description

I made this unusual coaster by piecing together 5 pieces of glass and melting them in my kiln. The colours in this handmade glass bled to the edges to create an outline around each piece, an effect which is unpredictable and hard to repeat. It is a beautiful object to look at, and practical to use as a coaster as well. I put bumper stops on the bottom to stop it slipping.

The coaster is 10 cm square.
It weighs 166 gm.
