LuzGlass at its best! This coaster is a fusion of 8 pieces of specialist glass in random shapes. It is a perfect example of a happy accident, when the outcome exceeded my expectations. I had several big pieces of red nd orange glass which I wanted to make into a coaster. To make it into a square tile I had to cut white pieces to fit into the gaps, which is better seen on the underside. Then I fused those 7 pieces onto a piece of clear glass to bind it all together. The result is a very unique and eye-catching coaster which looks great on its own but is also a practical resting place for hot or cold drinks. I’m struggling to part with this piece, but I don’t think it will stay in my shop for long. Be quick if you want it!
